Not much has gone right so far for the Boston Red Sox in the second half of the season. But there is one player who is showing signs of improvement.
Mike Napoli is hitting .364 over his last seven games with two home runs. One of those homers came in last night’s 9-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
“There’s a lot of talk that clubs are interested in Mike Napoli,” NESN’s Jerry Remy said of Napoli on “Red Sox Gameday Live” before Thursday’s game. “But I think he would prefer to stay here with the Red Sox.
“He loves Boston, he loves playing for the Red Sox and would like to be here next year.”
