Forget the pick and roll. The Indiana Pacers are planning to bust out the picket fence.

No, Jimmy Chitwood isn’t walking through that door, and the Pacers probably won’t be running the play made famous in “Hoosiers.” But Indiana will honor the classic 1986 film by debuting some awesome throwback uniforms this season.

The Pacers partnered with MGM Studios to produce the sweet throwbacks, which pay homage to the fictional Hickory High School basketball team and will be worn as part of the NBA Pride Collection. Pacers president and Indiana native Larry Bird certainly approves.

“Our team will be honored to wear the Hickory uniforms because of the attention it will bring to the storied history of Indiana basketball and the success of that movie,” Bird said, via the team’s official website. “‘Hoosiers’ takes us all back to a special place and time.”

With the iconic film set to celebrate its 30th anniversary in November 2016, the Pacers added that the team will wear the special threads over the next several seasons. Judging by the reaction already, that sounds like a win for everybody.
