Yoan Moncada has the potential to be a five-tool player, and earlier this week, he showed he’s got the speed tool in spades.

The Boston Red Sox prospect is finding his grove in America and tearing up the minor leagues of late.

The Cuban import is hitting a ridiculous .415 (17-for-41) in his last 10 games with a home run in each of his last three games for the Single-A Greenville Drive.

On Wednesday against Augusta, though, it was a combination of power and speed that helped Moncada get himself a four-bagger. After crushing a pitch to deep center field, the second baseman raced around the bases at blinding speed for an inside-the-park home run.

In his last three games alone, Moncada has the three home runs and is 7-for-15. He’s gotten his batting average up to .272 after it was .234 on July 4. Moncada’s ability to drive the ball has been demonstrated by his 15 extra-base hits, which also are a byproduct of his speed — the same speed that’s helped him steal 15 bases.
