Red Sox To Host ‘Picnic In The Park’ Featuring Boston Pops Jazz Band


Fans looking to stick around Fenway Park after Sunday’s Boston Red Sox-Tampa Bay Rays game will have an opportunity to take in the smooth stylings of the Boston Pops Jazz Band.

The Pops will headline the 10th annual “Picnic at the Park,” which benefits the Red Sox Scholars and RBI programs. The event will take place 45 minutes after the conclusion of Sunday’s game — which begins at 1:35 p.m. — and picnic attendees do not need a ticket to the game.

It’ll include an autograph session with Red Sox players, a picnic dinner on the outfield grass and a performance by the Pops featuring renowned singer, saxophonist and flutist Stan Strickland.
