Brian Johnson scored an interesting souvenir at the first Major League Baseball game he ever attended.

That’s right. Johnson, one of the Boston Red Sox’s top pitching prospects, apparently was stationed in the perfect spot for one of Mo Vaughn’s 328 career home runs.
WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford added in a subsequent tweet that Johnson caught Vaughn’s homer at Tropicana Field (home of the Tampa Bay Rays) when the Hit Dog played for the Los Angeles Angels (or the Anaheim Angels, as they were referred to back then). Vaughn, who spent eight seasons with the Red Sox from 1991 through 1998, played for the Angels in 1999 and 2000.
So, how did Johnson follow up his interesting first big league game? Well, the second game Johnson ever attended was a 2008 ALCS matchup between the Red Sox and Rays, according to Bradford.
Johnson is scheduled to make his major league debut Tuesday for the Red Sox.
