Russell Wilson took a break from having nightmares about New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler to showcase some of his dance moves at Thursday’s Nickelodeon Kids Sports Choice Awards. Unfortunately for Wilson, he probably wishes he kept his moves in the case.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback brought girlfriend Ciara on stage, and the two performed a rendition of the popular dance, the “whip.” Wilson’s “whip” performance, though, looked more like an eager teenager passing out fist-bumps in the middle school hallways.

Fortunately for the two-time Pro Bowl QB, his girlfriend might have salvaged the show. Having a hip-hop superstar as a girlfriend pays off, apparently.
Wilson’s night didn’t end with the dancing, however, and his sub-par efforts were rewarded later in the show. The Super Bowl XLVIII champion was slimed, along with former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter.

For what it’s worth, Wilson looks better in the green zone than he does in the red zone.
