Xander Bogaerts, Carlos Correa Have Bright Futures At Shortstop (Video)

The Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros have found their shortstops of the future.

After struggling in the second half of last season, Boston’s Xander Bogaerts is hitting .311 so far in 2015. His counterpart Wednesday night, Houston rookie Carlos Correa, is also having an impressive season with a .291 batting average and eight home runs.

“You think about guys like Derek Jeter retiring last year and the great years he put in,” NESN’s Jerry Remy said on “Red Sox Gameday Live” before Wednesday’s game between the Red Sox and Astros. “Here’s a couple young kids coming up right now, who — I don’t know if they’re going to be Derek Jeters — but they’re going to be very good players.”

Check out more of Remy and Josh Maurer’s discussion on the two shortstops in the video above.
