The Los Angeles Angels took the field Tuesday hoping to extend their five-game winning streak against a Minnesota Twins team that had won four of its last six. But the most intriguing battle didn’t take place on the field.
While the Angels and Twins were busy playing their baseball game, a young fan in the stands was engaged in an epic struggle with a hot dog.
And we mean epic.
You have to admire this kid’s resolve. He looks utterly baffled when the hot dog slips out of the bun, and disaster strikes when the ballpark treat falls from his hand.
Yet he soldiers on, channeling his companion’s “Can’t Stop Me” shirt and picking up the hot dog to eat it without the aid of the stupid bun. Well done, kid.
Perhaps inspired by their young fan’s effort, the Angels went on to beat the Twins 7-0 for their sixth win in a row.
