The return of Boston Bruins hockey isn’t too far away.
On Thursday, the B’s announced the preliminary schedule for their 2015 rookie and training camps. The rookie camp will begin Sept. 10 and the main camp will open Sept. 17. On-ice training camp sessions begin Sept. 18.
Bruins rookies also will travel to Buffalo for a round-robin tournament against rookies from the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils. The B’s will play the Devils on Sunday, Sept. 13, and the Sabres on Monday, Sept. 14.
The first preseason game is Sunday, Sept. 20 against the Devils at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence. The regular-season opener is Oct. 8 against the Winnipeg Jets at TD Garden.
