CC Sabathia nearly found himself in the middle of a huge mess over the weekend in Toronto — and it wasn’t on the Rogers Centre field.

The New York Yankees left-hander somehow got tied up in the middle of a nasty-looking street fight outside a Toronto nightclub during the team’s trip to play the Blue Jays.

TMZ Sports obtained video footage of the altercation, and it appeared Sabathia had to be restrained. The big lefty looked like he was attempting to get at another group of people, but he was held back and eventually shoved into a cab.

The fight escalated and could have been a real sketchy position for Sabathia to be in, had he not left. It’s unclear what started the fight, but TMZ Sports reported Blue Jays fans were heckling the Yankees pitcher.
