The Boston Red Sox announced the hiring of Dave Dombrowski during their big 9-1 win over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.

So, many players after the game reacted to Dombrowski’s hiring and Ben Cherington’s decision to decline the opportunity to continue as the Red Sox’s general manager

“It was just one of those things where there’s nothing we can do about it but embrace it,” pitcher Clay Buchholz told reporters after the game. “I know Ben as a person — great person, great GM, and it was fun to get to know him over the last 10 years, really. It’s just one of those things that whenever things are’t going right, they find a way to try to fix that.”
