Jeffrey will be the fourth generation of Earnhardts to compete in NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt was a seven-time Winston Cup (now the Sprint Cup) champion and the winner of the 1998 Daytona 500.

His son, Dale Jr., is a two-time Busch Series champion and the winner of the 2012 and 2014 Daytona 500. He’s currently third in the Sprint Cup standings, 89 behind points leader Kevin Harvick.
