Eduardo Rodriguez used his glove to pay tribute to Pedro Martinez.

The Boston Red Sox’s official Twitter account tweeted the following photo shortly before Tuesday night’s game against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Rodriguez wasn’t the starter for Boston’s series opener in the Bronx, but it’s still a cool salute to a Red Sox legend/Hall of Famer.

It appears Rodriguez and Martinez have developed a good relationship of late. A Red Sox official recently told Peter Gammons that Martinez pulled aside both Rodriguez and Joe Kelly after his number retirement ceremony last week at Fenway Park and hosted an impromptu pitching lesson.

Such a rapport could bode well for Boston. That Pedro guy was pretty good.
