Dave Dombrowski Expected To Make Big Changes To Red Sox’s Pitching (Video)

Fixing the pitching staff and revamping the bullpen are at the top of the to-do list for Boston Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski.

The Boston Globe’s Alex Speier talked about some of Dombrowski’s options with NESN’s Adam Pellerin and Steve Lyons on “Red Sox First Pitch” before Boston’s game against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday.

“Dave Dombrowski talked about how really if you want to have a team with championship aspirations, typically you do in fact need that top of the rotation baseline,” Speier said. “There are other ways to do it. He also noted you can have an elite bullpen, which the Red Sox have also lacked this year.

“So it’s clear there’s going to be considerable change on the pitching side of things.”
