The 31-year-old Berto is 30-3 with 23 career knockouts, though he’s just 3-3 in his last six fights and is viewed as a relatively easy opponent for Mayweather. He is a two-time welterweight world champion and currently holds an interim belt.

With a win, Mayweather would tie Rocky Marciano’s record for most wins without a loss in boxing history at 49-0. Berto seems determined not to let that happen.

“I’m coming to kick Floyd’s ass on Sept. 12,” Berto said, via ESPN. “Best believe that I plan to bring it to Floyd and I’m not concerned about what 48 other fighters have been unable to do. Somebody is getting knocked out, and it won’t be me. You don’t want to miss this.”
