Shawn Thornton gave more than his time to the Jimmy Fund on Tuesday.
The former Bruins forward returned to Boston this week to make an appearance at the 14th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon.
In addition to joining WEEI’s “Dale & Holley” during the broadcast of the telethon, Thornton, now with the Florida Panthers, also contributed a $50,000 donation to the cause.
