Jackie Bradley Jr. Explains Decision Making Behind Fifth-Inning Blunder (Video)

The Boston Red Sox were primed to cushion their lead in the fifth inning of Tuesday’s 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

With the score tied at two, Jackie Bradley Jr. was caught trying to steal second base on a 1-0 count with Mookie Betts at the plate and Ryan Hanigan just 90 feet away on third with two outs.

Whether it proved costly we’ll never know (Betts could have made an out on his own to end the threat), but it’s still a focal point in Boston’s one-run loss.

The 25-year-old outfielder talked about the play with reporters after the game, as aired on NESN’s “Red Sox Final” following the loss. Check it out in the video above.
