Tampa Bay Rays center fielderĀ Kevin Kiermaier climbed the outfield wall at Tropicana Field on Friday night. Instead of coming down with the ball, though, he landed with a little embarrassment.

Kiermaier was anticipating the hard-hit ball by Kansas City Royals designated hitter Kendrys Morales would land close enough to the wall where he could rob a home run, but the ball traveled so high that it hit the catwalk atop the roof and came straight down.

The funniest part was watchingĀ Kiermaier hang on top of the wall watching in disbelief as the ball fell 20 or 30 feet behind him.

By rule, Morales was awarded a two-run homer, but it did make for a comicalĀ moment at the Trop.
