This is sure to get the LeBron James haters going.

James made an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show Friday to talk about his pledge to pay college tuition for more than 1,000 kids. However, that’s not what he made headlines for.

During his appearance, James was asked to address Michael Jordan’s comments that he would beat James in a game of one-on-one during his prime. Predictably, James had a different answer to that hypothetical matchup than Jordan’s.

“Oh, I take myself,” James told ‘Today’s” Willie Geist. “For sure. I mean, I’m gonna take myself versus anybody. I’ll tell you one thing — they’re gonna have to have a few wheelchairs and a couple ambulances there to get us off the floor.”

It’s a hypothetical question, so we will never know the answer. But it certainly makes for some fun debate — and interesting sound bites.
