Mario Balotelli’s 25th birthday party predictably wasn’t a cut-and-dry affair.
Balotelli was doused with champagne Wednesday in a birthday-party prank gone right. Friends sang “Happy Birthday” to Balotelli, as he walked, but a few pranksters interrupted the song by showering the Liverpool striker with champagne.
Balotelli shared the funny scene with his followers on Instagram.
Balotelli’s celebrations continued at a Liverpool-area restaurant. Lucas Leiva, Mamadou Sakho, Lazar Roberto Firmino, Emre Can, Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel were among Balotelli’s teammates who attended the party. Balotelli’s friends and teammates surprised him with a birthday cake in the shape of his Italy national team jersey.
