If you’ve ever chatted with an older baseball fan, chances are you’ve heard them say, “I’ve seen just about everything out there.”
Well, wait ’till they get a load of what Marcell Ozuna did Thursday night.
The Miami Marlins outfielder hit a home run to left field in the second inning against the Philadelphia Phillies at Marlins Park. But trust us: it wasn’t just any home run.

Ozuna’s mammoth blast incredibly bounced off the top of the foul pole, an amazing feat considering the surface area of that spot is only slightly larger than the baseball itself, and that the ball had to have an insane trajectory to be traveling downward toward a landing area nearly 100 feet from the ground.

That has to be at least one bonus run, right?
The left field foul pole stands just 344 away from home plate, but Ozuna’s moonshot unofficially was measured at 412 feet. It also extended the Marlins’ lead to seven runs in an eventual 9-7 win.
