Bayern Munich aims for its fourth consecutive Bundesliga title, and NESN viewers can watch the German giant take its first steps toward history Friday.

NESN will air the opening game of the 2015-16 Bundesliga (German first division) season, which features host Bayern Munich against visiting Hamburg, live on Friday at 2 p.m. ET.

Watch as head coach Pep Guardiola leads the likes of Philipp Lahm, Arturo Vidal and Thomas Muller in search of another title defense. Doing so perhaps would enshrine this group of Bayern Munich stars as the greatest Bundesliga team in the competition’s 53-year history.

Hamburg sensationally avoided relegation to Bundesliga 2 in an epic playoff win over Karlsruher SC in June. Hamburg, historically one of German soccer’s powers, hopes to return to its lofty status this season under head coach Bruno Labbadia.

Some of German soccer’s best skills, sights and sounds will be on full display Friday.
