Who said nobody cares about preseason football?

Of course, Thursday’s game wasn’t your average, run-of-the-mill exhibition. It was Patriots fans’ first taste of actual football after an offseason of relentless controversy, and Tom Brady’s somewhat surprising decision to play the game’s first two series made it all the more intriguing.

The Packers ultimately left Gillette Stadium with a 22-11 win, and backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo handled the vast majority of snaps for the Patriots.
