FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots already began reshuffling their roster three days into training camp.

The Patriots released cornerbacks Derek Cox and Justin Green and linebacker D.J. Lynch on Saturday, the team announced. All three players were absent for Day 3 of minicamp Saturday morning.

Both Cox and Lynch left Friday’s practice midway through the two-hour session. Cox walked off on his own, while Lynch limped off with a trainer.

The Patriots’ 90-man roster currently sits at just 87 players.

Cox signed with the Patriots on June 8. He was out of football last season.

Green originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He was re-signed to the Patriots practice squad Dec. 3, 2014.

Lynch was signed on June 11 after going undrafted out of Bowling Green.
