FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots reshuffled their 90-man roster Thursday, releasing one player and signing two.
The Patriots cut offensive lineman Harland Gunn, who was claimed off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The Patriots signed tight end Mason Brodine and offensive lineman Mark Asper.
Brodine went undrafted out of Nebraska-Kearney in 2011. The 6-foot-7, 284-pound tight end has played with the Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams. He switched from defensive end to tight end in 2014. Brodine was wearing No. 44 at practice Thursday for the Patriots.
Asper was drafted in the sixth round by the Buffalo Bills in 2012 out of Oregon. The 6-foot-6, 321-pound guard also has played for the Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins. Asper wore No. 72 at practice for the Patriots.
