FOXBORO, Mass. — The injuries are growing during New England Patriots training camp.

There were 21 players not participating on Day 8 of Patriots training camp, and running back LeGarrette Blount limped out of practice early with trainers. The Patriots starting running back, who is suspended one game to start the season, appeared to be favoring his right knee.

Wide receivers Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson and Brian Tyms, running backs Dion Lewis and Tyler Gaffney, linebackers Matt Wells, Eric Martin and Darius Fleming, offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, defensive lineman Joe Vellano and tight ends Jimmay Mundine and Scott Chandler didn’t practice. Tyms and Martin were spotted on the field, but they weren’t in uniform.

Quarterback Matt Flynn, offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann and defensive lineman Alan Branch remain on the non-football injury list. Wide receivers Matthew Slater and Brandon LaFell, linebackers Dane Fletcher and Chris White, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell and defensive lineman Chris Jones remain on the physically unable to perform list.
