Wednesday was a wild day in New York for lawyers of both the NFL and NFL Players Association. On Thursday, they went back to work, albeit with far less fanfare.
Lawyers for both sides, as well as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, went before a judge Wednesday in federal court for a hearing over Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension. Judge Richard Berman grilled both sides while urging continued settlement talks.
Those settlement talks did continue Thursday, according to multiple reports. A court official confirmed to Reuters that the sides were meeting privately to continue talks, and the official also indicated neither Brady nor Goodell were in attendance.

UPDATE (12:40 p.m. ET): It appears the sides are done for the day, with the NFL reportedly not budging, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.
