It appears Chase Utley is heading home to Southern California.

The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to trade the second baseman to the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to USA Today Sports. The report also states that Utley, who had a no-trade clause, accepted the deal. The deal has not been finalized.

The Phillies will get a pair of prospects and will pay the Dodgers $2 million to help with the remainder of Utley’s contract for 2015. This means the Dodgers’ payroll is now up to $307 million, according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

The Dodgers needed a second baseman after Howie Kendrick suffered a hamstring injury. This also means Utley will play alongside former teammate Jimmy Rollins, who was traded to the Dodgers back in November of 2014, once again.

Since the deal has not been finalized, Utley is still in a Phillies uniform Wednesday night. However, he’s not in the starting lineup.
