Rousey joined some unlikely company by appearing in a commercial for Carl’s Jr. The new ad reflects the UFC star’s growing popularity, and both her toughness and her beauty are on display as she promotes the fast-food chain’s new Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast Sandwich.
The commercial is about as long as one of Rousey’s fights.
“Ronda Rousey is impressive in so many ways, and we’re huge fans,” Brad Haley, CMO for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants, said in a statement this week. “While she’s best known for her ultimate fighting ability, she also has a sweet side, which made her the perfect choice to star in the new Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast Sandwich ad. They both pack a mean one-two punch.”
Rousey not only has put women’s mixed martial arts on the map. She’s also becoming one of the world’s most recognizable athletes. Mainstream ads only will add to her fame and her bank account, which probably won’t sit well with boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.
