Russell Wilson Claims Special Water Helped Him Recover From Head Injury

There’s a chance the latest Russell Wilson story is just a brilliantly planned marketing campaign. We just want to get that out of the way first.

With that in mind, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback is making a preposterous claim about some ridiculous product he invests in, called “Recovery Water.”

We’re hesitant to even mention the actual product because, you know, it could just be a marketing ploy, but Wilson is claiming the special water can cure head injuries. No, seriously.

“I banged my head during the Packers game (NFC Championship Game) in the playoffs, and the next day I was fine,” Wilson told Rolling Stone for a profile in the magazine. “It was the water.”

Sketchy sure, but sounds great for hangovers, nonetheless.

Wilson also claims the water helped a teammate heal a knee injury.

It’s easy to claim Wilson’s a weirdo for believing some sort of water was able to heal him, but whatever works for you. Also, the joke’s on everyone else, as this story gets passed around the Internet, allowing more and more people to hear about the product.

So maybe he’s a genius, after all.
