Sarah Palin Defends Curt Schilling, Blasts ESPN In Long Facebook Rant

It appears Curt Schilling has plenty of support from one corner of the political ring.

The ESPN analyst was pulled from the network’s Little League World Series coverage and upcoming “Sunday Night Baseball” broadcast after he sent out a controversial tweet comparing Muslims to Nazis.

Schilling has received plenty of criticism for that tweet, which he later deleted. But politician Sarah Palin came to the former Boston Red Sox pitcher’s defense Thursday night in a passionate Facebook post that directed plenty of ire toward the Worldwide Leader.

There’s a lot to take in here, but two things are abundantly clear: Palin doesn’t think Schilling is in the wrong, and she really hates ESPN.

Schilling — an outspoken Republican — and Palin share the same political views, so it’s not too surprising to see the former Alaska governor come to his defense, even if her diatribe is a bit over the top.
