Alejandro De Aza has delivered when his number has been called since joining the Boston Red Sox.
The utility outfielder might not play every night, but he’s certainly made the most of his opportunities since the Baltimore Orioles shipped him to Boston in June. De Aza is hitting at a .303 clip in a Red Sox uniform with a .503 slugging percentage and an OPS of .854.
The 31-year-old hasn’t seen the field much of late, but he’ll be in the starting lineup Saturday afternoon for Boston’s matchup against the New York Mets, making him an intriguing option for one-day fantasy games.
De Aza and the Sox will have their work cut out for them against Mets ace Jacob deGrom, although the right-hander was touched for six earned runs over 2 2/3 innings in his most recent outing.
