Travis Shaw made sure the Boston Red Sox left Chicago with a series win over the White Sox on Wednesday.
The first baseman hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning, which was more than enough offense for Boston in a 3-0 win at U.S. Cellular Field.
“It was a fastball in,” Shaw said on “Red Sox Final” after Wednesday’s game. “I was actually looking, and they’ve been pitching me in the whole series, so I was looking for something in that I could drive. he left it kind of middle-in and I able to put a good swing on it.”
