Life is good if you’re an Alabama quarterback.
A few years ago, all eyes — especially Brent Musberger’s — were on star signal-caller AJ McCarron and his model girlfriend, Katherine Webb. McCarron since has moved on to the NFL and married Webb, leaving a big void in Tuscaloosa.
Enter Blake Barnett and Maddie Peterson.
Barnett is a freshman quarterback at Alabama and in the midst of a wide-open competition after the departure of 2014 starter Blake Sims. Yet he’ll have plenty of support from his girlfriend, Peterson, a professional surfer who already has turned plenty of heads on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Whether Barnett can emerge as a starter over the next few years remains to be seen, but as long as Peterson is at his side, he’ll receive plenty of attention in Tuscaloosa.
