Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes had a Sunday to forget.
Grimes and the Dolphins were torched 41-14 by the AFC East rival Buffalo Bills, but that wasn’t the worst part of their day. After the game, Grimes learned his wife, Miko, had been arrested.
Miko Grimes was arrested on charges of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct, according to Miami-Dade police, and a video posted on Twitter showed the aftermath.
According to the police report obtained by WPLG-TV, Grimes head-butted a female officer after being handcuffed. Grimes kept kicking and swinging her elbows after being put in a police car, and she later was treated for injuries to her right arm, knee and forearm.
The whole ordeal started when Grimes entered a restricted area at Sun Life Stadium and ignore police orders to stop, the report said. She reportedly yelled at officers, using an expletive, and ripped her arm away from an officer who tried to detain her.
Things seem to just keep going south for the Dolphins, who now are 1-2 on the season.
