The Indianapolis Colts barely held off the lowly Tennessee Titans on Sunday to win their first game of the season, despite entering the season with sky-high expectations. That didn’t stop Chuck Pagano from acting like it was a really big deal.

The Colts fell behind early Sunday afternoon in Nashville, as the Titans jumped out to a lead. The Colts looked destined for 0-3, but to their credit, they fought back and eventually got the win.

After the game, Pagano broke down in tears during his postgame locker room speech. The Colts head coach has been known to get emotional in the past, and he did so again in front of his team Sunday.

“Because you believed, and you’ve got grit, and you’ve got resilience, and you’ve got fight, you dig your way out of something that nobody thought you could dig yourself out of,” Pagano exclaimed, while occasionally wiping tears from his eyes. “I’m telling you, this is bigger than a football game. This is about life and learning lessons about life. You can do anything that you wanna do. Anything!”

Then, Pagano got a little hyperbolic.

“That’s as big a win I’ve ever been a part of in my life,” he said. “I’ll cherish that one for the rest of my life. I guarantee you that.”

But is it big enough for the Colts to hang a banner at Lucas Oil Stadium?
