David Ortiz is just one blast away from the 500-home run club.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter hit his 499th career homer in the first inning of Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

It was a three-run home run to right field off Rays starter Matt Moore. Ortiz now has 33 home runs and 94 RBIs this season. This homer also was his 32nd at Tropicana Field.

Ortiz has four homers in his last seven games (including Saturday).
