BOSTON — The Red Sox’s lineup will look a bit different Tuesday night.

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia and utility infielder Brock Holt both will have the night off for Game 2 of Boston’s four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park. Pablo Sandoval has a “significant” respiratory infection, interim manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday, and will miss his second consecutive game.

Josh Rutledge is starting at second base in place of Pedroia and will bat second, while rookie Deven Marrero gets the call at third base and will bat eighth. Rookie catcher Blake Swihart also returns to the lineup, batting seventh, and will catch for fellow rookie Henry Owens.

Tuesday’s game marks the tall left-hander’s first career start against the Rays, and he’ll look to build on what was his best outing to date in a Sept. 16 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Tampa Bay will counter with left-hander Matt Moore.
