Week 3 starts Thursday night with the New York Giants hosting the Washington Redskins, and fantasy football owners are running out of time to fill holes on their roster through the waiver wire.

Here are some good last-minute pickups for fantasy owners.

Josh McCown, QB, Cleveland Browns: McCown should only be added if you’re desperate and have no other options. However, he does have a favorable matchup against an Oakland Raiders defense that’s given up the third-most pass yards and four passing touchdowns through two games.

Matt Jones, RB, Washington Redskins: Alfred Morris still is the No. 1 running back in Washington, but Jones should be owned because the Redskins have shown a willingness to use both of them in an offense that leads the league in rushing yards. Jones also has the team’s only two rushing touchdowns and a pretty good matchup Thursday night against the New York Giants.

David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals: Johnson is a useful pickup in deep, 12 to 16 team leagues that award points for kick returns. He’s rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown through two games, but his real value comes in the return game. His 108-yard kickoff return for a score was the highlight of Arizona’s Week 2 win.

Donte Moncrief, WR, Indianapolis Colts: Indy quarterback Andrew Luck has struggled this season and is turning the ball over way too much. That said, he’s targeted Moncrief 19 times through two games, and the second-year receiver has caught 13 of those passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a must-own in all leagues.

Aaron Dobson, WR, New England Patriots: Pats quarterback Tom Brady is on another level right now and leads the league in pass yards. Therefore, most of his receivers have enough fantasy value to be started in PPR leagues, including Dobson. The third-year pro was targeted eight times in Week 2 and caught seven passes for 87 yards. Consistency has been an issue for him in the past and remains a concern entering Week 3, but he’s worth a gamble as a flex play in deep leagues.

Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: Heyward-Bey is one of the fastest receivers in football, and it’s been an asset in the Steelers passing game because quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has the arm strength and accuracy to connect on long plays downfield. Heyward-Bey tallied four receptions on five targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Even though his fantasy value is a little dependent on the big plays, he’s still worth adding in most leagues.

Crockett Gillmore, TE, Baltimore Ravens: You probably had never heard of Gillmore before he caught five passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 2 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He has solid value in most fantasy leagues, particularly in PPR leagues, as a starting tight end. The only issue is Gillmore has a tough Week 3 matchup against a very good Cincinnati Bengals defense.
