Injuries plagued the Boston Bruins’ 2014 season, and an active offseason shook things up. But the B’s are expecting to return to the playoffs next spring, and the staple of a good playoff team is its defense.
Fortunately, defense is something Boston is known for. But who should make the final squad?
Zdeno Chara, Dennis Seidenberg, Torey Krug and Adam McQuaid all should be locks in the six-man rotation, but who fills out the remaining three spots? With a bevy of seemingly capable younger defensemen and prospects, coach Claude Julien certainly has options.
NESN’s Andy Brickley and Billy Jaffe gave their thoughts on the matter on “Bruins Summer Faceoff Live” on Wednesday. Check it out in the video above.
