Jimmy Hayes, Ryan Spooner Headline Bruins’ Lineup For Preseason Opener

Boston Bruins fans on Sunday night will get the chance to watch several of their team’s newest additions don the black and golf for the first time.

Twenty of the Bruins’ 60 training camp invitees will suit up as Boston takes on the New Jersey Devils at Providence’s Dunkin’ Donuts Center in the preseason opener for both teams.

Among the new B’s in action will be wingers Jimmy Hayes and Zac Rinaldo, defensemen Matt Irwin and Colin Miller, and 2015 first-round draft picks Jakub Zboril and Jake DeBrusk. The lineup also will feature a number of familiar faces, including on Boston’s projected first line, which Ryan Spooner will center between Hayes and Brett Connolly.

Sharing goaltending duties for the Bruins will be Jeremy Smith and Jonas Gustavsson, both of whom are competing for the backup spot behind Tuukka Rask.

Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET. Here are the projected lines and defensive pairings, according to the Bruins’ official website:
