Jose Aldo Calls Out ‘Irish Sucker,’ ‘Punk’ Conor McGregor After Drug Test

Jose Aldo threw a social media haymaker.

Aldo posted an Instagram photo Wednesday calling out Conor McGregor, whom he’ll fight at UFC 194. Aldo refers to the UFC interim featherweight champion as “Irish sucker” and “punk” in the antagonistic post, creating even more tension between the fighters in the lead-up to their Dec. 12 bout.

Aldo’s photo reveals he was randomly tested by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. The Brazilian mixed martial artist clearly saw the test as an opportunity to fire back at McGregor, who previously insinuated his upcoming opponent could be guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs.

“I got tested. I get tested constantly,” McGregor recently told Brazilian outlet Combate, according to MMA Fighting.com’s Guilherme Cruz.

“It’s his shady ass that doesn’t get tested over there in Brazil. All this corruption is still over there. Some police officer from the gym arrested the guy who was taking the test. That is the shadiest (stuff) I’ve ever heard in my life. So, I take the test, he doesn’t. Test his ass.”

The USADA probably wasn’t simply adhering to McGregor’s request, but Aldo’s Instagram photo marks another awesome twist in an evolving plot, nevertheless.
