LeGarrette Blount officially is back.

The Patriots running back was suspended for New England’s 28-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday. That suspension now is over, though, and the Patriots have activated Blount, ESPN’s Field Yates reported Saturday. NESN.com’s Doug Kyed confirmed the news later Saturday.

In order to make room for Blount on the 53-man roster, the Patriots cut linebacker Eric Martin. Martin had been with the team since signing on to New England’s practice squad in December.
