Milan Lucic Jokes He Might Run Over Tuukka Rask Like He Did Ryan Miller

Tuukka Rask better have his head on a swivel when the Boston Bruins host the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 9. Just in case.

That night will mark Milan Lucic’s return to Boston, his first appearance at TD Garden as the enemy after the bruising winger was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in June. It undoubtedly will be an emotional night for Lucic, who’s already looking forward to making a return to Boston.

“I’ve actually thought about it a lot,” he recently admitted on TSN 1410 in Vancouver. “I think it’s going to be an emotional night, but I think the first five, 10 minutes of the game are going to be pretty weird and pretty emotional. I think once you get that part, you can just get to focusing on the game and going back to doing your job on the ice. I honestly think the first part is going to be a little bit emotional … and then after that, I think you just move on and continue playing like you would any other game.”

Of course, if Lucic is looking to get rid of some nerves or excess emotion, he always could look to incorporate the physical game a little more. That could be bad news for Rask, as Lucic joked he’s got the goalie in the crosshairs.

“I’m good buddies with Tuukka, so I’d like to get one past him,” Lucic said. “Just because we’re good buddies, I would love to get one and rub it into him. … Maybe run through him like I did another goalie (Ryan Miller) that I ran into before.”

And for those who forgot, this is what Lucic is referencing.
