9:23 p.m.: Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is questionable to return after he suffered an ankle injury against the Seattle Seahawks. Lacy had to be carted off the field.

Teammates Davante Adams and Josh Boyd also were carted off.

6:50 p.m.: The Cowboys’ worst fears have been confirmed.

6:30 p.m.: This is not good.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered an apparent injury after a fumble during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was taken right to the locker room.

FOX’s Erin Andrews reported she could hear Romo saying “it’s broken” on the way to the locker room.

6:02 p.m.: Aaron Williams passed along some good news via Twitter.

Williams left Sunday’s Bills-Patriots game in an ambulance after suffering a neck injury while trying to tackle Julian Edelman at the goal line in the third quarter.

5:45 p.m.: The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense just took a hit.

The Eagles acquired Alonso over the offseason from the Bills in exchange for Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy, so they obviously had tremendous faith in the linebacker’s ability to bounce back from last year’s torn ACL.

5:39 p.m.: Drew Brees had a shaky day in the New Orleans Saints’ 26-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, prompting questions about his health after the game.

This doesn’t mean Brees will miss New Orleans’ next game or anything like that, but it’s definitely noteworthy given the Pro Bowl quarterback’s importance to the Saints.

5:34 p.m.: Ndamukong Suh briefly left the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an apparent knee injury. The controversial defensive lineman returned a short time later, though.

Go ahead, Fins fans. Breathe a sigh of relief.

4:24 p.m.: Carlos Hyde returned to the San Francisco 49ers’ locker room late in their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The running back passed his concussion test, though.

Hyde even returned to the sideline, so it appears the Niners dodged a bullet.

3:45 p.m.: Scary scene in Buffalo.

Bills safety Aaron Williams left the field in an ambulance after suffering a neck injury while trying to tackle Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman at the goal line on a third-quarter touchdown.

3:15 p.m.: Jay Cutler’s day is over.

3:02 p.m.: Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie suffered a concussion against the Falcons.

Rodgers-Cromartie suffered the injury while trying to tackle Tevin Coleman, which is interesting because Coleman also left Sunday’s game with a ribs injury.

2:59 p.m.: Justin Forsett, as expected, is active for the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Oakland Raiders.

Forsett had been probable with a shoulder issue, though his status never really was in jeopardy.

2:54 p.m.: Tevin Coleman scored his first NFL touchdown. The Atlanta Falcons running back then left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with a ribs injury.

Coleman, who has emerged as Atlanta’s lead back, was carted off the field. He’s questionable to return.

2:37 p.m.: Jay Cutler left Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals in the second quarter. The Chicago Bears quarterback threw an interception and suffered an injury while trying to make a tackle.

The play resulted in a touchdown, but the bigger concern for the Bears obviously is Cutler’s status. It’s unclear at this point whether Cutler suffered a shoulder injury or perhaps a concussion.

The pick six marked Cutler’s only incompletion of Week 2 before exiting.

Jimmy Clausen took over as Chicago’s quarterback in Cutler’s absence.

1:53 p.m.: Cam Newton lost another target.

The Panthers already are without talented second-year wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin for the season, so they can ill afford to lose another pass-catching threat.

Cotchery might not be the most talented receiver — he’s not even listed as a starter on the Panthers’ depth chart — but the 33-year-old is a dependable target, especially within a depleted receiving corps.

Cotchery’s injury officially is considered a right ankle injury.

1:16 p.m.: Good news regarding Kendall Wright.

1:07 p.m.: Marcus Mariota’s attempt to repeat his Week 1 performance just became more difficult.

Wright’s return is questionable. The Titans already are without tight end Delanie Walker.

12:52 p.m.: Anyone scrambling for a last-minute wide receiver option in fantasy? This might help.

12:14 p.m.: Johnny Football will start for the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, as Josh McCown suffered a concussion last week. It might be just a temporary thing, though.

12:10 p.m.: Patriots running back Travaris Cadet will make his debut Sunday against the Bills. Fellow running back James White, who played only one snap in Week 1, is inactive.

12:02 p.m.: Oh, RG3.

The Redskins are Kirk Cousins’ team at this point and Griffin can’t even leapfrog Colt McCoy on Washington’s quarterback depth chart. When will RG3’s ‘Skins tenure officially end?

Another former starting QB also is inactive in Buffalo.

11:54 a.m.: The Houston Texans’ offense could receive a huge boost as early as next week.

11:50 a.m.: Rams quarterback Nick Foles again will be without wide receiver Brian Quick.

Quick, who underwent shoulder surgery in November, hasn’t been on the injury report for the first two weeks of the regular season, but the Rams clearly are being cautious.

The Rams will start Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin at receiver.

11:35 a.m.: The injury reports are starting to come out, and Jeffery indeed is sidelined.

11:28 a.m.: Rams running back Todd Gurley is inactive, according to Schefter, leaving St. Louis’ rushing duties to Mason and Benny Cunningham.

10:35 a.m.: Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker won’t play against the Cleveland Browns, ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports.

9:20 a.m.: The St. Louis Rams’ backfield is pretty banged up, but it appears Tre Mason will return to action this week, per Schefter.

9:15 a.m.: LeSean McCoy owners have no need to worry, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

9:10 a.m. ET: The NFL injury bug didn’t take long to bite.

Week 1 saw a handful of big names get sidelined with significant injuries, most notably Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, who now is expected to miss 10-12 weeks after breaking a bone in his foot last Sunday night.

Bryant’s status is pretty clear-cut, but others are a bit more murky. Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery toughed out a hamstring injury in Week 1, but it appears he’ll be sidelined in Week 2, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, meanwhile, looks on track to make his 2015 debut Sunday after missing Week 1 with his own hamstring injury.

It’s a lot to keep track of, but we’ve got you covered. Keep it here for the latest injury updates throughout the day.
