Patriots’ Jonathan Kraft Takes Jab At ‘Sweetheart’ John Harbaugh, Ravens

Jonathan Kraft isn’t losing any sleep over the Baltimore Ravens’ slow start.

The Ravens not only have become chief rivals of the New England Patriots in recent years. There also were allegations that Baltimore tipped off the Indianapolis Colts about the Patriots possibly using deflated footballs before last season’s AFC Championship Game.

The Ravens later denied those accusations, but some bad blood clearly exists between the AFC foes. So when Baltimore’s 0-2 start to the season was mentioned Sunday during 98.5 The Sports Hub’s pregame coverage, the Patriots president couldn’t help but take a few jabs at the Ravens.

“It’s too bad about Baltimore, isn’t it?” Kraft said.

Host Marc Bertrand pointed out the Ravens, Colts and Seattle Seahawks (whom the Patriots defeated in Super Bowl XLIX) all were winless entering Sunday.

“It’s too bad about Baltimore,” Kraft interjected.

Bertrand followed up by asking whether karma had something to do with three notable Pats adversaries stumbling out of the gate this season. Again, Kraft had an interesting response.

“Oh, that has nothing to do with it,” Kraft said. “The Ravens are sweethearts. (Ravens head coach) John Harbaugh, he’s a sweetheart.”

It’s not exactly a direct shot. But shots appear to have been fired, nevertheless.
