FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are forced to trust rookie offensive linemen against one of the best defensive lines in the NFL this Sunday.

Prospective starter Ryan Wendell has been ruled out for the Patriots’ Week 2 matchup with the Buffalo Bills because of an illness. Rookie David Andrews is expected to start for the second consecutive game at center. Rookies Tre’ Jackson and Shaq Mason likely will rotate with veteran Josh Kline at the two guard spots.

Wendell didn’t participate in practice Friday after suiting up Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
