Patriots-Steelers Inactives: Ryan Wendell Out For New England’s Opener

FOXBORO, Mass. — Bryan Stork isn’t the only starting offensive lineman inactive Thursday night for the New England Patriots’ season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium.

Ryan Wendell is among seven inactives for the Patriots. His absence further shakes up New England’s O-line, which was dealt a blow Wednesday, when Stork was placed on injured reserve.

David Andrews likely will start at center with Stork and Wendell inactive. Josh Kline likely will play left guard with Tre’ Jackson at right guard. Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer will start at left and right tackle, respectively, as the Patriots host the Steelers under the lights at The Razor.

Running back LeGarrette Blount is serving a one-game suspension to open the season, but newcomer Travaris Cadet still will sit out. The Patriots’ active running backs include Brandon Bolden, Dion Lewis and James White.

The complete list of inactives for Thursday’s game is below.
