The Kansas City Royals have added Jonny Gomes for the stretch run, and that could mean good things for both the Royals and your DraftKings lineup.
Kansas City acquired the veteran outfielder Monday as part of a trade with the Atlanta Braves. It’s Gomes’ fourth team in three years, but 34-year-old has seen plenty of success, helping the Boston Red Sox capture a World Series title in 2013.
Gomes has yet to take the field for his new squad, but it looks like he’ll make his debut Wednesday night against the Detroit Tigers. If he’s in the lineup, make note of this tidbit: Gomes is 12-for-23 with two home runs in his career against pitcher Randy Wolf, who is scheduled to take the mound for Detroit.
