FOXBORO, Mass. — Donald Trump did not hold back his support for Tom Brady as the New England Patriots quarterback fought his four-game Deflategate suspension this summer.

Brady now is returning the favor.

Brady is on record saying Trump is a good friend and that they like to golf together. Brady took his support one step further Wednesday when asked if Trump has what it takes to win the presidency.

“I hope so. That would be great,” Brady said. “There would be a putting green on the White House lawn. I’m sure of that.”

Trump, who was prepping for Wednesday night’s Republican presidential debate in Simi Valley, Calif., tweeted his thanks to Brady.
